Since 2018, Courtney Howard has served as general counsel for Matrix Home Solutions in Arlington Heights, Illinois. She also serves as retained general counsel for a number of home improvement companies and Grosso University, LLC, a home improvement sales training company. In addition to providing general counseling services to GU, she also serves as a consultant and educator to the participants of the executive programs and assists with program development. Courtney is also a founding partner of Peak Strategic Consulting Group, which provides its diverse client base with political consulting, campaign management, federal and state PAC management, compliance management and lobbying services. In 2012, she co-founded Witt & Howard, PLLC, where she represented businesses and individuals in state and federal civil litigation matters transcending a number of legal disciplines, including product liability, premises liability, personal injury, adversary proceedings in bankruptcy court, trademark disputes, insurance subrogation, and business disputes through all stages of litigation. Prior to Witt & Howard, she litigated at an insurance defense firm in Denver, Colorado, where she represented insurance companies in a variety of litigation matters. During her time at the insurance defense firm, Mrs. Howard learned the “ins” and “outs” of both sides of litigation. She both provided defense counsel as well as represented her corporate clients in the prosecution of a variety of tort claims. This dynamic experience taught her how to properly value a case and exercise good business judgment on behalf of her clients in order to obtain swift, practical, and reasonable results. In addition to her practical experience, Courtney has a sustained interest in developing and mastering her litigation skills. In 2013, she earned the professional designation of Advocate by the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA). An attorney that attains the Advocate Designation is considered by NITA to have achieved a well-rounded foundation in trial advocacy. From her representation of small business clients in a litigation setting, Mrs. Howard now provides many of those clients with general counseling and transactional services. Her business services range from negotiating business acquisitions, purchase contracts and share assignments to drafting contracts and counseling on business succession plans. Outside of her law practice, Courtney is active in her parish, loves to spend time with her husband and three daughters, run marathons, snow ski and spend time at her family vacation home on Anna Maria Island. She also happily serves as a director on the board of a Chicago-based super PAC, Freedom Initiative Now, which has been successful in helping to educate and amplify conservative voices in the Chicagoland area.
