Avery Searcy is a student-law clerk at Boatman Ricci, assisting the firm with litigation matters. She was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and grew up in Celebration, Florida. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology at the University of Florida in 2021.
Avery is currently a third-year student at Stetson University College of Law, where she has participated in the Christian Legal Society, Anti-Trafficking Coalition, and Law Review. After her first year, Avery interned for Judge LaRose at the Second District Court of Appeal. During her second and third year, she worked as a research assistant and teaching assistant for Professor Peter Lake, contributing to the development of a new hybrid torts course. She has received book awards in Evidence, Consumer Law, Trusts and Estates, and Advanced Legal Research. In her free time, Avery enjoys cooking, crafting, and spending time outdoors.
