Mark S. Bowers was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He attended Washington & Jefferson College, where he majored in Political Science and earned a minor in Conflict and Resolution Studies. While there, he was a dual-sport athlete competing in both football and lacrosse. His background as a collegiate athlete continues to shape his disciplined and competitive approach to litigation. He earned his Juris Doctor from Ave Maria School of Law, where he received the CALI Award for Trial Advocacy, recognizing the highest performance in his class, and competed in multiple moot court competitions.

Following law school, Mark began his legal career at one of the largest insurance defense firms in Florida, where he represented clients in complex civil litigation matters. He developed substantial experience handling cases from inception through resolution, including high-exposure disputes involving personal injury, fraud, business-related claims, as well as property and construction-related matters. During this time, he conducted hundreds of depositions, mediations, and arbitrations, and regularly handled all phases of litigation, including motion practice and trial preparation.

Mark also achieved significant results on the defense side, including prevailing on motions for summary judgment resulting in dismissal of claims. Notably, he successfully obtained a dismissal based on fraud upon the court, demonstrating his ability to identify litigation misconduct and pursue case-dispositive remedies.

His experience and litigation background provide him with a practical understanding of case strategy, allowing him to effectively evaluate claims, develop leverage, and position matters for favorable resolution.

In 2026, Mark joined Boatman Ricci Law Firm, where he represents clients in commercial litigation, business disputes, personal injury matters, and fraud-related cases. He assists the firm with all aspects of litigation, from initial case evaluation through resolution and trial.

Mark lives in the Southwest Florida area and enjoys spending time with friends and family and golfing. He approaches every case with a disciplined focus on uncovering the truth and building strong client relationships, principles that define both his advocacy and the firm’s philosophy.
