Melissa Blythe Boatman, J.D., grew up in Central Florida and remained there until she attended the University of Baltimore School of Law, where she graduated cum laude in 2008. While in law school, Ms. Boatman was an Honors Contract Law Scholar and a published member of the Law Review. Following law school, Ms. Boatman clerked for the Honorable John Phillip Miller of the Baltimore City Circuit Court, then went on to practice Social Security Disability law, representing clients in hearings throughout Maryland and Washington, D.C.
Ms. Boatman next transitioned into private practice and specialized in serving low-income clients in domestic matters. Following private practice, Ms. Boatman began to use her writing talent and passion for our military to successfully advocate for discharge upgrades, medical retirement benefits, and clemency requests. In 2024, Ms. Boatman returned to Florida and joined the Firm as a Senior Law Clerk in 2025. She is admitted to the bar in the State of Maryland and is now also admitted to the Florida Bar. In her free time, Ms. Boatman is passionate about weightlifting and personal fitness, believing that physical strength and a commitment to health are essential to sustained professional excellence.
