Tylan Ricketts grew up in a small farming town in Southwest Kansas. He was very active in the Boy Scouts of America and attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He went on to attend college at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas. While there, he was a member of the Student Government Association and played an active role in the Knights of Columbus becoming a member of the Fourth Degree. He also served as a representative in the Student Government Association, as a Chairman of the Residence Life Committee, and as Junior Class Vice President. In 2010, he graduated with dual degrees in Philosophy and Theology and a minor in the Classical Languages of Greek and Latin. From there, Tylan entered seminary for the Catholic Diocese of Dodge City, Kansas and attended St. John Vianney Seminary in Denver Colorado for four years.
After Seminary, Tylan attended Ave Maria School of Law in Naples. During his time in Law School, he was the Managing Editor of the Ave Maria Law Review, and participated in multiple moot court competitions in New York and Boston. During law school, he interned for the Honorable Carol Mirando of the Middle District of Florida. He graduated magna cum laude with his Juris Doctor in 2018, and was awarded the St. Ives Award.
Following law school, Tylan worked for a botique law firm in Fort Myers practicing Real Estate, Contract, and HOA litigation, primarily in the areas of foreclosure prosecution and defense. In 2019, he joined a Naples firm and diversified his practice, adding Probate, Estate Planning, and Business formation to his litigation experience.
Even outside of work, Tylan lives the Firm’s directive of Truth Guided, Relationship Driven. He enjoys spending time with his family, especially his wife, and their dog and cats. He is an avid reader, is a fan of college football and baseball and is an amateur brewer. He teaches Sunday school and is a Eucharistic Minister with his Church.
