The best way to prove construction defect is through the testimony of an expert. An engineer is the best person to hire. The engineer can come in and can assess the photographs, the status of the situation in the field and then can provide credible testimony to a court regarding the nature of a defect, both in terms of what caused the defect and what remediation will be required to fix the defect. That means that you can use the expert to not only assess liability but also build your case for damages against the party who is responsible for the defective workmanship.
